King County Metro faces scrutiny after only 8 citations despite 78K fare checks

SEATTLE — Questions are mounting over King County Metro’s fare enforcement program after new data showed relatively few citations issued despite tens of thousands of fare checks, prompting calls for oversight from county leaders.

King County Council member Reagan Dunn said he has requested a hearing to review the program and get answers from Metro leadership.
