South Fulton police officer accused of assaulting woman granted $30K bond

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A former South Fulton police officer accused of sexually assaulting a woman in custody was granted a $30,000 bond on Friday.

Michael Cockran, 30, faces charges of sexual assault by a person with supervisory or disciplinary authority and violation of oath of office. Under his bond conditions, he must wear an ankle monitor, can’t do any security work and can’t contact the victim.
