Woman faces DUI, crash charges after hitting Palm Beach County school bus

BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A Broward County woman was arrested after police said she crashed her SUV into the rear passenger side of a Palm Beach County school bus carrying 15 children, then left the scene and later showed signs of impairment.

Mary Aimee Elizabeth Tedder, 47, of Oakland Park, faces charges of DUI with property damage or injury, leaving the scene of an accident and refusing to submit to a blood test, according to a Boca Raton Police probable cause affidavit.

Police said the crash happened around 7:33 a.m. April 15 near 1905 Clint Moore Road. Before officers arrived, a witness told investigators he saw a black Kia Sportage that appeared to have driven off the road, hit a sign and several bushes, and then continue on.
