Man arrested for aggravated breach of peace in Eastover after shooting guns out of moving vehicle

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a man after complaints of shots being fired in the Eastover area on Thursday.

After getting complaints about shots fired in the Vanboklen Road and McCords Ferry Road area, one of the deputies set up a listening station by parking his patrol car off Vanboklen Road around 8:15 p.m., turning off the car’s lights and rolling down the windows to listen and watch for suspicious activity.

Around 8:35 p.m., the deputy heard shots fired towards the Main Street end of Vanbolken Street in Eastover. Moments later, shots were fired closer to the deputy’s position, and the deputy observed an approaching vehicle. The deputy pulled out behind the vehicle and initiated at the Vanboklen and McCords Ferry traffic circle…
