Southern Indiana man sentenced to prison for killing wife on Valentine’s Day 2025

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana man convicted of killing his 36-year-old wife, Deborah, last year in their home was sentenced Friday to decades in prison.

Taylor Meyer was charged with one count of murder, and a jury found him guilty Jan. 29. During his sentencing hearing Friday morning, Judge Nicholas Karaffa sentenced Meyer to 65 years in prison.

Several members of Deborah Meyer’s family testified at Friday’s hearing, calling her kind, selfless and strong. Her mother, Diana Pierce, said her daughter was an amazing nurse, mother and sister, always trying to help people in need…
