A fatal crash in northwest Miami-Dade remains under investigation after a truck crashed over a concrete barrier wall and then into another vehicle in the southbound lanes of the Palmetto Expressway early Friday morning, according to officials.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said that a pickup truck had been traveling eastbound on northwest 54th Street just before 6:30 a.m. when it traveled through the intersection and slammed into a concrete barrier wall.
After that, the MDSO said that the truck went over the wall and entered into the southbound lanes of the Palmetto Expressway where it then hit another vehicle.
The driver of the truck, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was injured and taken to a nearby hospital where they are listed in stable condition…
