A homeless man who was rummaging through a dumpster was arrested at a local ALDI grocery store.
A deputy spotted 55-year-old Johnny Ray Billings near the dumpster at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Lady Lake, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The deputy asked Billings for some identification, but he claimed he did not have any. The deputy noticed that Billings was “fidgeting.” The deputy found a piece of plastic near where Billings had been standing with his bicycle. A substance in the plastic tested positive for bath salts…
