P. Terry’s Burger Stand is bringing its Austin-born burger operation to Cypress on April 27, when the chain opens its newest Houston-area location in Bridgeland’s Village Green. The stand will feature indoor seating, a patio and a double drive-thru meant to serve both families and commuters in the fast-growing neighborhood, extending the brand’s reach beyond Central Texas.
As reported by the Houston Chronicle, Village Green sits at 20103 Bridgeland Creek Parkway and is part of the 925-acre Bridgeland Central master-planned district developed by Howard Hughes Corp. The Chronicle notes that the chain announced the April 27 opening in a company release.
According to Bridgeland, the Village Green parcel will deliver about 28,000 square feet of retail space anchored by an H-E-B, with P. Terry’s taking a custom building accented with cedar and quarried stone. The project lists Michael Hsu Office of Architecture as design architect, and the firm’s portfolio highlights the retro, stand-style look that has become a P. Terry’s signature.
How P. Terry’s Is Growing In Houston
Founded in Austin in 2005, P. Terry’s made its Houston-area debut in Richmond in October 2024 and has signaled plans for additional locations across the metro, Eater Houston reported. The chain’s website, P. Terry’s, documents the brand’s origins and its growing Texas footprint, noting that the company has increasingly leaned on drive-thru and walk-up formats to reach commuters and families.
Bridgeland’s Retail Push
The move into Bridgeland ties into a long-term real estate play. P. Terry’s signed a 40-year lease on the Cypress site, Houston Business Journal reported in 2024.
