Gunman Fires Shot After Morning Dispute on Grant Avenue in Bronx, Suspect Still at Large

BRONX, N.Y. — A gunman opened fire during a morning argument on Grant Avenue in the Bronx on April 13, leaving a 50-year-old man unharmed but prompting an ongoing NYPD search for the suspect, according to Crime Stoppers.

The shooting happened around 8:02 a.m. outside 1006 Grant Avenue, where the victim became involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified individual, the NYPD said in a public alert issued through its Crime Stoppers program.

Sudden Escalation During Morning Confrontation

What began as a verbal exchange quickly escalated when the suspect displayed a firearm and fired a shot toward the victim, police said. The circumstances leading up to the argument have not been disclosed.
