Pinpoint Weather: Cold front brings some rain, cooler air

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A cold front will move through Southwest and Central Virginia Saturday night through early Sunday morning. Scattered showers and isolated storms will impact parts of the region, with blustery winds and cooler air following behind the front.

Most of the rain activity Saturday night will occur along and west of the Blue Ridge. Scattered showers and isolated storms will move in from the west, with a couple of storms potentially producing strong winds. After midnight, storm activity will decrease as rain showers travel east of the Blue Ridge.

Rain coverage will become spotty by Sunday morning. Any lingering showers will end from west to east during the morning, with a few showers possible around midday for areas along and east of US-29.
