The Laurens County Coroner’s Office has been approved for mobile fingerprint identification technology through the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and will now be able to assist with identifying individuals in the field.
Patti Canupp, coroner, said the process included certification and receiving a license from SLED to move forward with technology she believes was desperately needed.
