ALGIERS, La. (WVUE) – A school that has been closed for seven years was rededicated as an outreach center Saturday (April 18), with Fischer Community Church celebrating with neighbors.
The school needs significant repair work. The church has been working for seven weeks to clean up the building.
“We’ve been working seven weeks just trying to clean up,” said Rev. J Nelson Brown of Fischer Community Church. “We are looking forward to working with our elderly, working with the seniors in this area, giving them a place to come to meet with others their age, to feed them every day.”…
