Utah teen takes 2nd at World Irish Dance Championships

LAYTON, Utah (KUTV) — A Utah teen with some serious fancy footwork proved he is one of the best of his age at the World Irish Dance Championships in Illinois.

Seventeen-year-old Logan Dorrity of Morgan County placed second in the Michael Flatley Freestyle category last weekend, beating a two-time reigning champion.

Logan’s family refers to the competition, which draws more than 5,000 dancers from around the world, as the Olympics of Irish dance.
