I-75 South opens ahead of schedule

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) – Interstate 75 South was reopened almost a day ahead of schedule as repairs and construction continues on the highway.

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced that the southbound lanes of I-75 opened at 2:30 p.m. on April 19, “which is nearly 15 hours ahead of the Monday morning timeframe” the organization previously provided.

The department said that the entrance from Western Avenue would remain close permanently as a necessary measure “for maintaining traffic on I-75 during the reconstruction of the Linn Street bridge and for the upcoming Brent Spence Bridge corridor improvements.”…
