Several runners from York and Lancaster County schools turned in strong performances last weekend at the ASICS Carolina Distance Carnival, one of the Southeast’s premier distance track meets drawing hundreds of athletes from across the region.
The meet featured finals in the boys and girls 800 meters, mile, and 3200 meters, with competition so deep that times well under national standards did not guarantee a podium finish.
Fort Mill Fort Mill was the most represented school from the area, placing multiple athletes across several events. In the boys 3200 meters, the Yellow Jackets fielded a deep group.
