Council agenda says Spokane will host Team Egypt for practices before World Cup

SPOKANE, Wash – Spokane Police want new drones and mitigation barriers to provide security during this summer’s World Cup. Specifically, to protect Team Egypt, which would practice at Gonzaga University.

Police are making the request on Monday’s city council agenda. It’s the first time it’s been publicly mentioned that Spokane would host Team Egypt leading up to the World Cup games in Seattle.

Egypt is scheduled to play Belgium June 15th and Iran June 26th at Lumen Field…
