COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A Columbus family is searching for answers — and justice — more than a month after a 63-year-old woman died from injuries police now say were the result of a violent assault.
Columbus police have ruled the death of Thomasena Crowder a homicide. Investigators say she was assaulted and stabbed, and later died from an infection related to those wounds. So far, no suspects have been identified.
Crowder was rushed to Grant Medical Center on March 4. At the time, the initial report said she was sick. But her daughter, Sherdena Crowder, said she immediately sensed something wasn’t right when she arrived at the hospital…
