Detectives in Anne Arundel County are trying to track down a man who, police say, pulled a gun on a clerk and robbed an Exxon in Hanover early Tuesday morning. Investigators report that the suspect flashed a handgun after a store employee opened the cash register. When the worker refused to hand over any money, the man grabbed the merchandise and ran from the scene. Officers canvassed the surrounding area but were unable to find him, and the investigation remains active.
What police say
According to FOX45, officers were called around 12:40 a.m. on April 21 to the Exxon at the Mills. The gas station employee told investigators the man came in asking to buy something, then pulled a handgun and demanded cash from the register. Detectives describe the suspect as a Black man with a thin build who was wearing dark clothing. Officers searched the area but did not locate him.
