Crews on scene of house fire in Gibson County

GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) — Crews are on the scene of a house fire in Fort Branch.

Officials say the fire started after the homeowner was smoking a cigar on the balcony and put it in a fire box. The cigar didn’t go out and started the fire.

Gibson County Sheriff Bruce Vanoven says a call came in at 7:43 p.m. on Tuesday about a house fire. Crews were called to a home on 105 East and 780 South. Vanoven says the Fort Branch, Haubstadt, Patoka Township and Owensville fire departments responded to the fire…
