Man out on bond for selling deadly batch of fentanyl arrested with drugs in Mt. Juliet, police say

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) – A traffic stop in Mt. Juliet led to the discovery of drugs and a driver who is facing a murder charge in another county on Monday evening.

The Mt. Juliet Police Department reported that officers pulled over an SUV for speeding and “following too closely” on Monday. During the stop, officers discovered methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl in the vehicle, the report states.

Officers took the 55-year-old driver from Lebanon into custody, and later learned that he was out on bond for allegedly selling fentanyl to a person who overdosed and died. He is being charged with 2nd-degree murder in Rutherford County…
