Big baby! New elephant calf debuts at the National Zoo

WASHINGTON — A new baby elephant was able to greet fans at the National Zoo on Wednesday morning.

The 2-month-old calf named Linh Mai was born on Feb. 2. She is the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute’s (SNZCBI) first elephant calf born in almost 25 years, according to officials.
