HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A Wayne County woman is facing theft charges after police say she lied about having cancer and took money from donors.
Stacey Robbins of Fairfield is charged with theft and deceptive practices. Illinois State Police say they were asked by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office to look into claims against Robbins.
Police say between november 2024 and march 2025 Robbins claimed she had cancer and started a go-fund-me page. Investigators say several people donated, raising thousands of dollars…
