Brewster‘s Fine Food and Spirits in Portage is set to reopen in a brand new location.
Owner Brad Wilcox ran Brewsters at 5135 Portage Rd. for 25 years, and when they closed down in 2023, it was during a very distraught time for businesses on Portage Road, as two years of construction on I-94 shut down the bridge just north of the restaurant and caused a lot of businesses to go through tough financial times.

Now Brewsters will be reopening the restaurant after a year of renovations in their new location at 5222 Portage Rd., just south of I-94.
The building was most recently the Long Island Café, which closed down in 2024. Before that, it also served as a few other restaurants, but seeing Brewsters open once again is a welcome sight to the area…
