SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WNYT)- According to Schenectady County District Attorney Robert Carney, two Schenectady men were sentenced after a jury convicted them in a beating at a drug house.
Carney said Kervin Samuels, 38, and Shannon White, 49, were sentenced April 21 after a three-week trial. A jury convicted both men of attempted gang assault in the first degree and unlawful imprisonment in the second degree.
Prosecutors said the case centered on a Dec. 6, 2023 attack at an abandoned house near Hulett Street in Schenectady. Trial evidence showed the victim went there to buy $200 worth of crack cocaine from Samuels using an EBT card that was later canceled, according to the district attorney…
