ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Drivers in Asheville can expect more closures and detours in the coming weeks as part of the ongoing I-26 expansion project, including the planned permanent closure of the Westgate flyover ramp.
The project, which began earlier this year, is designed to create a smoother interstate connection between southwest and northwest Asheville. As construction continues, some local businesses say the changes are already affecting traffic and access.
