The Longhorns continue on their recruiting journey throughout the state of Texas, and one of the state’s “late bloomers” has begun to take the CFB world by storm. 3-star Atascocita High School (Humble, TX) DT Jason Johnson has been skyrocketing up recruiting boards since his breakout sophomore season in 2024, and it sounds like Texas has been gaining ground with the 17-year old.
The 6’4″, 280-pound defensive tackle was recently in Austin for an unofficial visit, and it’s pretty safe to say that he had a great time based on his recent comments:
