Man convicted of shooting friend in Reno, faces up to 16 years in prison

A man faces up to 16 years in prison after being convicted of shooting another man in Reno last September.

The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office says Eddie Lao-Rodriguez has been convicted of Battery with the Use of a Deadly Weapon and Own or Possess a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.

Prosecutors say Lao-Rodriguez and a visiting friend got into an argument over cars and money when Lao-Rodriguez shot him in the legs and continued to shoot the victim as he ran away…
