Silver Line plans coming into focus as construction on new South End station underway

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Silver Line light rail project planned to connect uptown Charlotte to the airport is coming along slowly but surely.

An east-west light rail train that goes to Charlotte Douglas International Airport has been talked about for decades.

Charlotte Area Transit System officials are now homing in on what a Silver Line could actually look like. The agency held a meeting focused on the project on Thursday.
