ALBANY — Three of the six men indicted for a July 2022 poker game robbery were sentenced on Friday by Judge Thomas Marcelle after taking plea deals.
Terrence Anthony, 45, pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree assault and received a sentence of five years in prison with five years of probation for each charge to be served concurrently. In an interview on Wednesday, Anthony’s attorney, Daniel Smalls, said his client was already serving a 20-year-to-life sentence for attempting to rob a man at gunpoint after arranging a sale on Facebook Marketplace. Anthony’s new sentence will run concurrently with his previous sentence and will take into account the time he is already serving.
Anthony is also a defendant in an upcoming trial having to do with the 2021 shooting death of Shanita Thomas. That trial is expected to begin in October, according to Smalls…
