History comes alive at Inland Empire History Festival

Visitors to the third annual Inland Empire History Festival on Saturday, April 18, were given the opportunity to learn about churning butter, view a vintage Ford Model A fruit truck from the 1930s, pan for gold, and discover military aircraft without leaving the south parking lot of the Norton Air Force Base Museum in San Bernardino.

For five hours, the history of San Bernardino and Riverside counties came alive with excitement about the people, places and events that have shaped the legacy of our area going back to the late 1800s.

The festival was sponsored by the San Bernardino Pioneer and Historical Society, Highland Area Historical Society, San Bernardino International Airport, Norton Air Force Base Museum, Burgess Moving and Storage and Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation…
