Lysander, N.Y. – The Lysander town board plans to schedule a public hearing May 7 to solicit input on a proposed six-month moratorium that would temporarily block the development of data centers in the town.
The proposal comes amid loud concerns from residents about the plan for a massive data center on Hencle Boulevard.
The board will conduct a brief emergency meeting Friday to formally schedule the public hearing at 6:30 p.m. May 7. The only other item on Friday’s agenda will be a referral to the town and county planning boards asking for their recommendations on the moratorium…
