PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Five Palm Beach County restaurants and two food trucks were temporarily shut down last week after state inspectors found violations that included roaches, flies, rodent droppings, temperature abuse and unsafe food storage.
One of the most striking cases came at Mochinut in Greenacres, where an employee was cited for picking up a dead roach and smashing a live one with bare hands, then handling clean equipment and utensils used to prepare food without washing up. At Blue Anchor Pub in Delray Beach, inspectors found about 115 rodent droppings and a bag of fry mix with gnaw marks.
