According to AAA Texas, drivers in El Paso are paying the most on average at $3.80 per gallon, while drivers in the Lubbock area are paying the least at $3.30 per gallon. Amarillo drivers are currently paying an average of $3.34 per gallon, which is four cents less than last week and 69 cents more compared to the same day last year.

Officials note that while pump prices have lowered, crude oil remains elevated with Brent above $101 a barrel and West Texas Intermediate near $93.
“Drivers across Texas are getting a small break as gas prices move lower for the second week in a row,” said Daniel Armbruster, spokesperson for AAA Texas. “That said, oil markets are still reacting to events overseas, and any new disruption involving global crude supply could affect what drivers pay in the weeks ahead.”
