Albany pre-K program renewed day after closure announcement

Update: NEWS10 can confirm that after this story aired in the evening newscast, the Albany JCC was able to renew the pre-K program at the Albany School of Humanities.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — On Friday, parents sent their children to the Albany Jewish Community Center’s after-school pre-K program at the Albany School of Humanities for the final time. Yesterday afternoon, parents, like Motier Haskins, learned the program would be open for one more day.

“It was the worst thing to be hit with on a Thursday afternoon,” said Haskins. “We’ve been scrambling since.”
