Berkeley County opens opioid settlement funding applications on April 27

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) — Berkeley County will open an application period on Monday for local organizations seeking opioid settlement funding.

The county has received $601,458.78 in its latest installment from a $26 billion national opioid settlement and plans to distribute its share to local organizations and agencies working to combat the opioid epidemic.

The application period opens at 8 a.m. on April 27 and runs through noon on May 8, 2026. Eligible applicants include organizations and agencies working on the front lines of the opioid crisis and/or providing opioid addiction recovery or prevention services…
