Wastewater spill reaches Sugar Creek in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A wastewater spill in west Charlotte has reached Sugar Creek, according to Charlotte Water officials.

Crews who responded to the spill Friday estimated the amount at roughly 4,200 gallons. They were called to the 3300 block of Scott Futrell Drive and determined the source to be from a pipe failure in that area. No further information was released…
