LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – An Austin mother is facing federal charges after investigators say she tried to have her 8-year-old child smuggled into the U.S.
Prosecutors say Jesus Luciano agreed to bring the child in by bus for $5,000, even though he did not know the child.
Authorities say he used a birth certificate and claimed the child was his, but agents later found it belonged to a different child…
