Former Smithville daycare worker sentenced to 7 years for endangering children

SMITHVILLE, Mo. (KCTV) – A former Smithville daycare worker has been sentenced to 7 years in prison – the maximum penalty allowed for her charges.

Clay County Prosecutor Zachary Thompson says Tara Anderson, 30, of Smithville, received the sentence after being convicted of endangering the welfare of a child.

Court records show Anderson also received a maximum of 15 days in jail on 3 additional counts of fourth-degree misdemeanor assault…
