Nominations for the Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce’s Raven Awards are due May 1.
Award categories include:
- Lifetime achievement: Individual recognized for making a significant contribution to the prosperity and quality of life of the Ravenna-area community. The honoree should have demonstrated leadership and service in Ravenna over a period of several years, a person of high character and someone who would honorably represent the spirit of the award.
- Volunteer of the Year: Awarded to an individual or group who goes above and beyond, exemplifying the true potential of how volunteers made a difference in the Ravenna area in 2025.
- Citizen of the Year: An individual who, in the spirit of community service, demonstrates exceptional leadership and initiative in their efforts to support the betterment of the Ravenna area in 2025.
- New construction: Recognition for new construction of a building or public structure in the Ravenna area, completed in 2025.
- New renovation: Recognition for interior or exterior renovation of a building or public structure in the Ravenna area, completed in 2025.
- New business in 2025: Recognizes any new businesses that opened in 2025.
- Young Entrepreneur Award 2025: Awarded to a person age 30 or younger who has used their skills to build a successful, sustainable and profitable business that is rare for their age.
Nominations may be submitted by any individual, group or business residing, working or doing business in the Ravenna area. In order to win the awards, the individual must live or work in the Ravenna area, may not have won the award in the previous year, and cannot be serving on the selection committee for the award.
