A law enforcement response at Hillsboro Charter Academy last week was prompted by a nearby domestic incident, School Board member Kari LaBell (Catoctin) said in a Facebook post late Saturday.
The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon when Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the elementary school after receiving reports of a weapons violation.
In her post Saturday, LaBell, whose district includes Hillsboro, said, “during their after-school Earth Day Celebration, to which their students and families had been invited, several sheriffs’ cars pulled into the bus circle and warned the principal that they were investigating an incident in the area.” She said the principal locked the school down until deputies gave an all-clear…
