BURLINGTON, N.C. — Firefighters rescued a bed-ridden resident from a house fire Saturday afternoon on East Sixth Street and quickly brought the blaze under control, fire officials said.
The Burlington Fire Department responded to the home at 149 E. Sixth St. at 12:58 p.m. Crews arrived in under two minutes and found light smoke coming from the residence with the occupant still inside.
