A woman’s body was pulled from Spanish Lake Sunday afternoon. St. Louis County Police are investigating what happened to her, as evidence appears to show she might have been fishing prior to being found in the water a little after 4pm near a picnic shelter.
Park rangers found the woman in the water and called for emergency assistance. She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Authorities have identified her as 77 year old Frances Black of St. Louis.
