Troy man sentenced for modified pistol

Troy, NY (WRGB) — A Troy man who prosecutors said was found with a modified pistol capable of fully automatic fire has been sentenced to state prison following a jury conviction.

Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced that 30-year-old Jeffrey Walker of Troy, was sentenced Friday, April 24 to 12 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision for his conviction of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. He also was sentenced to three to six years for his conviction of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, to run concurrently.
