Masked man found with automatic weapon outside North Charleston nightclub

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A Ridgeville man was arrested early Sunday on weapons charges after North Charleston police responded to a report of armed individuals outside a nightclub, authorities said.

Officers were sent around 4 a.m. to the G Club on Peppermill Parkway. While patrolling the area, police found a vehicle parked on the sidewalk with a man asleep in the passenger seat with a handgun resting on his lap, police said.

The firearm was equipped with an illegal attachment that converts semi-automatic guns to fully automatic weapons, authorities said…
