THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Firefighters and animal rescue crews worked together Friday night to free a donkey named Miss Kitty after she became stuck in deep mud near a pond, officials said.
Thomasville Fire and Rescue responded just before dark after a local family reported the animal was unable to free itself and may have been trapped for hours.
