Anderson Co. deputy injured in I-85 shooting released from hospital

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — A deputy who was injured in a shooting on Interstate 85 has been released from the hospital.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the Deputy Alex Albrecht was released from Greenville Memorial Hospital around 11 a.m. Monday.

A convoy of law enforcement vehicles led the deputy from the hospital down Interstate 85 to Anderson County.

On April 20, Albrecht was assisting a traffic stop on near exit 11 when the suspect in the stop, 32-year-old Austin Derrell Robertson, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, reportedly got out of his car and shot the deputy in the chest…
