BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Idaho Steelheads came up short Sunday night, falling to the Allen Americans 4-3 in overtime at Idaho Central Arena in Game 3 of their Mountain Division semifinal series. Both Teams will have a quick turnaround with game 4 set for 7:10 pm MT Tomorrow night from Boise.
The Steelheads open the scoring nine minutes into the first period when Jade Miller netted his second goal of the series from Robbie’s holms for a 1-0 lead. Less than two minutes later, Nick added another goal against Michael Gildon, putting Idaho up 2-0.
Idaho kept the momentum going late in the opening frame when Brendan Hoffmann found an open Ty Pelton-Byce, netting a power play goal. Idaho finished strong, opening frame 1 for 3 on the power play, outshooting the Americans 13-6…
