St. Andrews Fire Department installs 151 smoke alarms in Charleston homes

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The St. Andrews Fire Department, in partnership with other local businesses, teamed up this weekend to install 151 smoke alarms in a Charleston neighborhood.

In a Facebook post, the fire department said they partnered with volunteers from Hendrick of Charleston to visit 44 homes and installed 151 smoke alarms in the Ponderosa Community.

In the post, it said the initiative will “ensure more of our residents have the early warning they need to stay safe.”
