Services announced for late Tennessee Rep. G.A. Hardaway

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The family of G.A. Hardaway announced Monday services to honor the life and legacy of the late longtime Memphis lawmaker and Tennessee state representative.

Hardaway (D-Memphis) died Friday after battling a “brief illness,” his family had said. He was 71.

The family announced Hardaway will lie in state at the Tennessee State Capitol in Nashville on Thursday, April 30. His family said this “will allow colleagues, constituents, and the public to pay their respects to a dedicated public servant who faithfully served the people of Tennessee for nearly two decades.”…
