Guilford County reappraising thousands of properties amid flood of appeals

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Thousands of Guilford County residents have filed appeals after this year’s property reappraisals left many fearing a dramatically higher property tax bill.

Guilford County residents received notices of property appraisals earlier this year with many seeing their properties reassessed at a higher value than they expected. Some said their property values skyrocketed anywhere from 40% to 60%.
